Overline, come on, keep it together
It strikes me that underlines are overused. We were taught to put the title, and then underline it (using a ruler of course). Am I the only one that thinks this? Isn’t underlining just a daft convention that we all just blindly follow? Why separate the title from the body of the text it’s associated with. Why break up text with horizontal lines that cause titles to look like they belong to the end of the last chunk of text instead of making them look like they’re the first bit of the text they actually do belong to.
Ah, shucks, the text-editor I’m writing this with doesn’t support overlines. I live in an underline only world. Thwarted by convention. Raspberry blowing stuff.
